Real Friends is a heartwarming book about a girl named Shannon and the ups and downs of her elementary school experience, and her struggle to find out who her real friends are.

I chose it for my quilt patch because it is one of my all time favorite books and I love its bittersweet nature and how it always makes me laugh, no matter how many times I have read it. This book is great for any age. It's a story that is full of passion and has a very strong message.

I recommend you read this book if you like coming of age stories, realistic fiction, graphic novels, and bittersweet books that are full of comedy, but don't sugarcoat things.
